GajaPuri Resort Koh Chang

Great location, very friendly staff, good food, excellent service, lovely 50m pool overlooking the water.

We stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows. The location, the bungolow itself and the overall apperance of the hotel complex was very appealing. The staff was always friendly and we really enjoyed the tranquility during our stay. Having a sundowner on one of the swings was priceless.

Beautiful resort! Cute wooden houses surrounded by trees and nature. Everything was very handy, nice swimming pool, chairs and umbrellas available near the entrance to the beach and a restaurant offering drinks and local food. The breakfast was very good with a lot choice, selection of fruits and veg, eggs, breads and pastries etc. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful with organising what’s needed. The location is perfect, just off the main road with a lot of restaurants, massage shops, little souvenirs shops and cafes.

The resort is amazing, the staff is great. We especially liked that there was two pools, so it was easily available to get a spot at the pool. We had a great breakfast buffet, with make to order eggs. We stayed in the most cozy private cabin. The beds are very comfortable and the room is clean. We even had a little couch we could sit in, instead of having to be sitting on the bed all the time.. Nice and spacious! The location is central, with a slice of beach, directly accessed from the hotel. There's several restaurants nearby in walking distance

Where to start? The Gajapuri is simply wonderful, if you’re thinking about booking, take this as a sign to do so. I was looking for something earthy and tropical and traditional but with a side of luxury and romantic. I got all of this and more. The bungalows are enormous and clean and very rustic, you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle even though you’re a minute walk from your room to the beach. Two lovely pools, a restaurant and bar directly on the beach. I was nervous that the beach was small after reading other reviews, it is a little narrow but very long so always enough space to lie on the sand next to the ocean. There is a great restaurant and bar next door that you can walk along the beach to get to. Dozens and dozens of bars and restaurants immediately outside the hotel that you can walk to. So much going on around it and yet I can’t stress enough how very quiet and secluded the resort feels. Breakfast is delicious with a great variety of juices, fruits, jams, breads, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, cheese, sausage, bacon, and all the different kind of eggs/omelettes you could order. The coffee machine is excellent The staff were so kind and welcoming and truly made the trip so special. I can’t thank them enough for their incredible service, always smiling and polite and helpful. There are complimentary kayaks and paddles boards on the beach that you can take out at any time and there is a little island not far from the beach that you can kayak out to. You can also book a massage on the beach should you choose. There is no naff music pumped out, it’s quiet and peaceful and very classy without losing its island getaway feel. Our experience at the Gajapuri was truly magical and we can’t wait to return here next year!
